NOTHING BUT ABSOLUTE ONENESS!

A wise person once said, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” Because why not? Kindness is sweet, kindness is unconditional, sometimes intentional, sometimes unintentional; priceless yet affordable. Take a moment and imagine a world, twenty or thirty years down the line where kindness has been achieved in abundance. Sheer benevolence, no more meanness. What a time would it be to be alive; what a wondrous world! Don’t we all earnestly look forward to it? Deep down, we all do but do we ever ask ourselves what endeavours are we making to dress this collective dream into reality? Can we achieve this individually or do we need a force by our side? Will a discourse suffice or collective action is what we need at the end of the day. Well, I don’t intend to leave you in lurch with all these questions but a healthy introspection hurt none, for all of us strive towards that kind world. Don’t we?

With that note, I would like to draw your attention towards a world that is kind to all the girls out there. A world where girls walk shoulder to shoulder with the future they all got to create on their own, without any restrictions. A world, where there is no fear of a dark alley for there is light at the end of it; one that illuminates the lives of many girls out there.A world where little girls have now come a long way in terms of a collective future they once dared to dream but with distinctive ways to achieve. Let me call it oneness, or maybe sisterhood. It could also mean upliftment. The point is not to think these words in terms of their literal meaning, the point is to understand the need of this world, where girls work towards empowering other girls; make a way for other girls through their education and lived experiences. How amazing would it be to see a ripple effect when these girls in turn go out in their communities and societies to leave their indelible mark on many more girls in need. While I write this, I must mention that my head is filled with images of this world; absolutely vivid and crisp. Perhaps this is the time we give wings to this dream.

Let us create a space for girls where they not only realise their own potential, aspirations, and ambitions but also create a culture of diversity and inclusivity, helping other girls represent themselves. Nothing but absolute oneness! Let these girls learn from each other, support each other to break the barriers coming in the way of their empowerment and participation. Let there not just be a single role model who girls look up to but many role models in different capacities leading them to a collective promising future that they aim and deserve. Let there be a world, the one that is just and fair to the girls.
